The Carlo Felice Theatre in Genoa, rebuilt to a design by illustrious architects such as Aldo Rossi and Ignazio Gardella, is intended as a “covered square” connecting Galleria Mazzini and Piazza De Ferrari.
The Carlo Felice Theater Foundation pursues the dissemination of musical art, the training of artistic and technical cadres, and the community's musical education. It promotes initiatives aimed at educating the public, encouraging the participation of younger generations, disseminating its work throughout the region, and encouraging disadvantaged groups to access the theater.
It also promotes historical, artistic, and scientific research in the music field, including through collaboration with universities, academies, conservatories, concert institutions, music centers, and other Italian and foreign opera houses. It protects the productive, musical, historical, artistic, and professional heritage of the theater, its staff, and its workers, and its image, and promotes the professional training of artistic and technical cadres and organizational figures, as well as the valorization of acquired professionals.
From the covered square, descending a staircase, you enter a room with a capacity of approximately 200 seats. Provided with a small stage and independent from the rest of the theatre, the hall hosts conferences, lectures and musical meetings.
