“Tunnels and Underground Works: over the last 5 decades and onwards”
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of ITA AITES and SIG, the Italian Tunneling Society organized a celebratory event to take place on November 29th at the beautiful Palazzo Ducale in Genoa. It will be an extraordinary event and a unique opportunity to talk about the major underground projects a in Italy and abroad. The conference will involve eminent speakers from prestigious academic institutions as well as leading companies in the underground sector coming from all over the world.
The previous day (28th November), there will be the tenth edition of the ITA Tunnelling Awards, organised by ITA-AITES , which is as always a great opportunity to promote and reward the excellence of people and projects in the underground sector.
The third day (30th November) a site visit will take place at the Terzo Valico dei Giovi (Giovi Third Pass) and the Genoa Junction construction works. It will be an opportunity to see in person some of the best engineering and construction activities in the field as well as the future of italian underground infrastructures. A special thanks to the Cociv JV and its main contractor Webuild (one of SIG corporate members) for the organization of this unique experience.
